Mercedes-AMG M113k engine.

Our Commitment.

We prioritize genuine parts, maintain matching numbers wherever possible, and never compromise on assembly, corrosion protection, braking or electrical safety. The finished car is not merely in original condition — it is improved upon. Superior materials, modern protection techniques, tighter assembly standards and enhanced reliability produce a Mercedes that is better than the car that left the factory decades ago, while remaining completely true to its heritage.

This process reflects the highest standards of professional manufacturing, adapted carefully to deliver exceptional quality, authenticity and lasting superiority for every project we undertake, while following Mercedes Benz technical protocols in great detail.

The Process.

We follow a complete, uncompromising approach designed to match Mercedes-Benz W463 vehicles to true factory-correct condition — and beyond. Every project begins with a rigorous evaluation and is treated as a meticulous craft. The final result is not a restored car, but a vehicle built from the ground up to a higher standard than the one that left the factory years ago: more reliable, better protected against corrosion, assembled with greater precision, and refined to a superior level of finish and drivability, while remaining completely authentic.

1. Initial Assessment & Candidate Evaluation

Before any work begins, every vehicle undergoes a thorough evaluation to determine whether it is a suitable candidate as the base for the build. We carefully inspect the car for structural rust, previous accident or salvage history, frame and chassis integrity, originality of major components, and the overall condition of the engine and transmission. We also assess parts availability, matching-numbers status, and the realistic scope of work required. Only cars that meet our quality and authenticity standards proceed.

2. Complete Disassembly & Documentation

Once approved, the car is fully stripped down to the last nut and bolt. Every component is photographed, catalogued, and assessed. Parts are either set aside for specialist reconditioning or replaced with genuine Mercedes-Benz components. This disciplined process ensures nothing is overlooked and creates a complete record of the car’s condition.

3. Body Shell Restoration

The body is chemically stripped to bare metal. All rust and structural damage is carefully repaired or replaced to original specifications. The shell receives advanced corrosion protection far superior to original methods, including modern priming systems equivalent to industrial cataphoretic coating. After comprehensive rust-proofing, the body is finished in the exact original factory colour, including correct underbody and engine-bay finishes. All brightwork is stripped, re-chromed or renewed to original standards, and glass and lighting components are replaced as required.

4. Engine & Drivetrain Rebuild

The engine is completely disassembled, measured, and rebuilt to exacting standards. Cylinders are honed or bored as needed, the cylinder head is fully overhauled, and all critical components are renewed or replaced. The goal is not only originality but improved smoothness, tighter tolerances, and greater long-term reliability than the engine possessed when new — while carefully preserving matching numbers. The transmission, driveshaft and differential receive the same thorough treatment.

5. Chassis, Suspension & Brakes

The body is chemically stripped to bare metal. All rust and structural damage is carefully repaired or replaced to original specifications. The shell receives advanced corrosion protection far superior to original methods, including modern priming systems, ionization, powder coating. After comprehensive rust-proofing, the body is finished in the exact original factory color, including correct underbody and engine-bay finishes. All brightwork is stripped, re-chromed or renewed to original standards, and glass and lighting components are replaced as required.

6. Electrical System

The original wiring is removed and replaced with a new, correctly specified harness. All electrical components — switches, instruments, lighting, alternator or generator, and starter — are overhauled or renewed. The result is a clean, reliable electrical system free from the common issues.

7. Interior Restoration

The interior is fully stripped and replaced using genuine materials that match the original texture and quality. Seats, door panels, carpets, headlining, and soft tops are recreated to factory standards. Wood trim is carefully refinished, and all dashboard and control components are returned to their original condition, creating an authentic and refined cabin experience that often surpasses the finish of a new car from the period. We also restore the distinctive new-car leather scent.

8. Final Assembly & Testing

The vehicle is reassembled with precise attention to factory procedures, panel gaps and fitment. After thorough mechanical and electrical checks, the car undergoes extensive road testing. Any remaining details are perfected before final presentation. Full photographic and documentary records of the build are provided, giving owners complete transparency and lasting value

Delivery Day

The vehicle is delivered with 10 miles on the odometer (“since the date of restoration”), and a comprehensive 4-year or 50,000-mile Vehicle Limited Warranty, covering factory defects in materials and workmanship, bumper-to-bumper components, powertrain parts, and corrosion perforation.
